Questions about price
Do I need a card to start?
No. Every new account gets 500 tokens free, enough to plan a book in the chat and try a few steps. Top up when you are ready to make the whole book.
What is a token?
Tokens are how Mivva prices each step. £20 buys 15,000 tokens, and a draft picture costs 20 tokens. Your wallet shows your balance and every token you spend.
How much should I top up?
The minimum is £5. If you plan to make more than one book, start with £25: it covers about 5 books like the worked example below.
Do tokens expire?
No. They stay in your wallet while your account is open. Tokens have no cash value, but you can get a refund for unused tokens within 14 days of buying them.
How do I pay?
By card, on a secure payment page run by Stripe. Mivva never sees or stores your card details.
What if a step fails?
Tokens are set aside when a step starts. If it fails, they go back to your wallet. If only part of it finishes, such as 8 of 10 pictures, you pay for the 8.
Will every platform accept a book made with Mivva?
Not necessarily. Books made in Mivva include AI-generated pictures and text, and each platform sets its own rules. Amazon KDP requires you to tell it about AI-generated text, images or translations when you publish. IngramSpark does not accept "works created solely using generative AI". It expects significant human review and contribution, with proper attribution, where AI is used. Lulu does not permit books generated primarily by AI without meaningful human review, editing or original contribution, if the result is spam, low quality, repetitive or deceptive. Accepting pages in Mivva may not be enough on its own for IngramSpark or Lulu. Summaries reflect each platform's published rules as of October 2026. Check each platform's current guidelines before you publish.
How many books can I publish on KDP each week?
As of October 2026, KDP sets two separate weekly limits for each format (eBook, paperback and hardcover): you can create up to 2 titles, and submit up to 2 new titles for publication. A title counts towards the submission limit the first time you submit it, including one you saved as a draft earlier. Updates to books you've already submitted don't count. Both limits reset at 00:00 UTC every Sunday. Mivva charges per step, with no subscription, so a quieter week costs you nothing. Check KDP's help page for the current rules.
